2010 Golf - Making up for two plus years of dormancy

Decided to update the blog that has sat dormant for a few years. Here's my attempt to rehash some of my golfing travels:

2010 Arnold Palmer Invitational

Spent Tuesday morning on the course as well as Wednesday before jetting over to Clearwater for the Wilco concert. Helped out a fellow golf grapher by getting Zach Johnson and Mike Weir on a Masters poster, Boo Weekley, Jim Furyk, Kenny Perry and Stewart Cink on a Ryder Cup flag.

Highlights: Finished off two multi-player magazines by getting Ryan Moore to sign. Got two more on my Titleist ad (Ernie Els and Fred Funk). If anyone can get Hidemichi Tanaka, Yasuharu Imano, Toru Taniguchi, S.K. Ho and Liang Wen-chong for me, please let me know. :^)

Outback - April 2010

Thanks to Michael J. Fox's appearance at the Outback, every freakin' dealer in the state of Florida showed up for this event. I give Fox major props for not only participating in this event but spending a ton of time signing afterwards. He tried to accomodate as many as people...here's a guy with Parkinson's and signed for like 20 minutes. Guys like Hale Irwin and Fuzzy Zoeller (guys who are healthy) couldn't be bothered to pick up a pen after the round. I have to say that I'm rarely starstruck anymore (I'm jaded and been collecting too long) but I was starstruck yesterday. I mean, this is Alex P. Keaton, Marty McFly, Brantley Foster, Mike Flaherty...you get the point.

Other highlights: Getting Tom Watson on my Titleist ad, a couple more sigs on my Ryder Cup photo, and getting Tom Lehman & Bernhard Langer on infamous "high five attempt" photo from last year's Liberty Mutual.
